Cake- The Distance

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,

Engines pumping and thumping in time.

The green light flashes, the flags go up.

Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.

They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,

Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.

Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.

Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn.

As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.

The fans get up and they get out of town.

The arena is empty except for one man,

Still driving and striving as fast as he can.

Happy, toothless Collingwood supporters eating pies while Rionel Lychee sang ‘All Night Long’ It was a very long day in the sun, I tell ya.

K.Hunt in the last quarter when he has full body cramps and I do species on him.

Milne from that Bangkok end of year trip...DADDY, IT’S ME.

I do that at ANZAC Day marches too, freaks the diggers out.

8. If you were on the rules committee how would you best incorporate a BBQ into the game?

The one who gets subbed off has to man the BBQ and sell the cans and raffle tickets.

Used to be Naughton’s, then Punters Club, then Labor in Vain...now, sad to say, the Locker Room. Don’t even leave nowadays.
